FENDI’s latest spring and summer 2020 menswear collection takes inspiration from the garden, with creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi and director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name) as guest artist, creating looks celebrating the union of with man and nature in practical spring style. After its debut in Milan at the Royal Villa garden, this idyllic scene continues, with FENDI creating a special limited shop from now to March 1 stationed in Macau Galaxy’s Opal lobby, the first stop in Asia’s FENDI men experience led by ‘outdoor’ scenery.
The FENDI Solar Dream Shop echoes the menswear collection’s pastoral poetry- from the classic Pequin FENDI stripe pattern Showcase and furnishings with Viennese garden-inspired clothes, shoes , accessories and handbags exclusive to the series, transporting guests to a typically Italian pastoral scene.
Green, beige and brown earth tones mix with pastels creating the perfect Solar Dream mix, highlighting a series of natural materials ─ silk, cotton, wool, leather and suede ─ as well as an array of patterns, which use the “BotanicsforFENDI” print, with hints of kimono-style geometric prints. Carefully stitched work clothing – including overalls, pants, trousers, shirts and classic suits are cut in loose, breathable styles with careful consideration of the slits and openings, coupled with zipper-removable spacious pockets attached to clothing.
Accessories further lend tribute to gardening. The brand’s classic bags feature in many variations included limited editions of the large Baguette as well as Pequin stripe pattern woven raffia basket ‘gardening’ bags. Low sneakers in canvas & rubber, a collaboration with Japanese footwear brand Moonstar echoe the overall atmosphere.
The Macau Solar Dream shop also features two limited edition men Baguette bags in dazzling red and yellow; debuting mid-February. Snap it up before anyone else!
