NIKE has unveiled this year’s BETRUE collection looking at LGBTQIA+ representation and interprets this through the brands traditional and iconic silhouettes. Using the colour spectrum of LGBTQIA+ and the supporting community, the design is meant to be timeless and to be a sneaker worn regardless of the situation and environment, ultimately creating a sign of strength and unification.
The Nike Air Force 1, Air Max 2090, Air Zoom Pegasus 37 and Air Deschutz create the 2020 BETRUE Nike collection. To recognise people of colour in the LGBTQIA+ community, Nike have included black and brown stripes to the Pride flag.
