AHEAD of the release of the fall-winter 2020 collections later this year, Givenchy have adapted their classic Antigona bag for men in a softer leather. The bag is named after the heroine of Greek mythology, a strong female figure whose name alludes to the ability to unbend.
Adapted from strong calfskin to the Antigona Soft in the pre-fall women’s 2020 lookbook, the French luxury fashion house have extended this to the menswear range.
Similar to the classic Antigona, the Antigona Soft has the same structured geometry and purity in line but now with a more casual construction. The unique juxtaposition that Givenchy are known for, blending the sensuality of womenswear with masculine proportions allows this bag to stand as a testament to the brand’s ability to create strong pieces for both lines.
The Antigona Soft is a versatile bag for men, functional for both everyday use and as a weekend bag, depending on your lifestyle. It comes in two sizes, large and maxi and with a removable shoulder strap for extra use if needed.
Inside there are two zipped compartments to keep valuables as well as a zipper inner pocket and the two outer handles have a turn-lock hardware to ensure it looks both sophisticated while being practical for daily use.
It debuts in Givenchy stores in September 2020 with a retail price starting at HKD 21,500 (for the large version).
