Burberry debuts new TB Summer Monogram collection through multi-dimensional campaign
CAPTURING an exciting journey from reality to fantasy, Burberry has introduced its new TB Summer Monogram collection, through a uniquely devised campaign starring Kendall Jenner. Designed by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci, the collection pays homage to the fashion house’s founder, Thomas Burberry, with bold interlocking TB initials re-imagined and summer-inspired hues of azure and cobalt blue complemented by orange accents.
Enveloped in the liberating spirit and vibrancy of summer, the campaign combines the rawness of real-life with the cutting-edge of CGI technology. To bring this campaign to life, Riccardo called upon a cast of iconic British creatives including photographer Nick Knight, art director Peter Saville and stylist Katy England, to create and realise his vision.
The house continues to pave the way for digital innovation with compelling fluidity and skill, with the campaign video set in a dreamlike realm inspired by skateparks and swimming pools. Within this geometric world, Kendall is transformed into CGI versions of herself to depict four distinctive characters for womenswear and menswear from the new collection.
The campaign video is accompanied by a series of raw self-portraits, which were shot at home by Kendall on her computer, bringing a sense of reality to the campaign.
