WARMLY embracing the arrival of summer, The Langham, Hong Kong has announced its Summer Picnic afternoon tea hosted within the cool interiors of the elegantly appointed Palm Court, renowned as the birthplace of teatime tradition.
Beautifully presented in a wicker basket, guests can indulge in a delectable array of tantalising seasonal treats and picnic classics attentively curated by the hotel’s Culinary Director Cesare Romani.

“I hope that our basket of savouries and sweets will bring the joy and playfulness of Summer to our guests,” he explains earnestly. “I have included some of my favourite items from my memories of picnicking with my family when I was a young boy.”
Savoury nibbles include the perfect appetiser salmon tartare, foie gras terrine for a lavishly rich aftertaste, and a refreshing green asparagus with feta quiche. Treats such as a Japanese inspired fruit sando, lollipop-inspired raspberry macarons and a creamy exotic milkshake comprise the basket’s nectarous delicacies.

Conclude your afternoon on a sweet note with freshly baked plain and beetroot and cranberry scones, still warm from Palm Court’s very own bakery, accompanied by Devonshire clotted cream and preserves.
The delightfully decadent picnic is priced at HK398* for one person and HK688* for two with tea, or HK558* for one person and HK988* for two with a glass of champagne each. Available on weekdays from 3:00 to 5:30pm, and on weekends and public holidays in two sittings, from 2:15 to 4:15pm and 4:30 to 6:30pm.
