WITH the concept of a new year, a fresh start upon us, the resolution to get fit is something many want to join in on. Nike have approached the goal of creating a trainer that reduces injuries in two new ways. They first have reduced the silhouette to make the shoe more effective, but have also now created a new solution to help many.

The Nike React Infinity Run 2 and Nike ZoomX Invincible Run have been created to continue the Nike Running ethos and to help in the fight to create sneakers that are built with injury-prevention in mind. These shoes are designed to aid the everyday runner, to help cushion your feet and to ensure stability on your runs.

The new Nike React Infinity Run 2 has been updated with a stronger Flyknit upper to support the toes, and also to increase breathability in the mid-foot. Flywire cables have been introduced throughout the upper layering to increase the trainers support of the foot, while the weightless collar adds an element of plush.

The Nike ZoomX Invincible Run has been made uniquely for long training runs and includes a special responsive foam in the midsole that enables more energy to be returned to the underfoot than any foam previously used in a Nike trainers. The wider nets in the forefoot help with the runner’s stability and fluidity in each step.

Former Glass star Donavan Brazier tried, tested and loved the new ZoomX Invincible Run trainer, commenting on his experience, “I was like ‘Oh wow! You can really feel this.’ But I wasn’t even sure what ‘this’ was. It was just a new sensation”.
