FOR its summer capsule collection, Paco Rabanne pictured a sunset hovering over the ocean horizon, with the reflective golden and bronze hues absorbed into the collection. With a splash of optimism, Paco Rabanne has fused perennial Paco Rabanne accents with ‘70s sportswear troupes.
Slogan pieces express the urge for escapism, emblazoned with the return of Peter Saville’s Lose Yourself to the mischievous Ciao Paco, translated across retro-cut swimwear. A liberty-style print is crafted in jersey silhouettes and a crisp poplin shirt, while tie-dye shirts rendered in pastel blues echo the delicate formations of clouds.
Ribbed knits are adorned in tennis stripes, paired with dark denim jeans. A fishnet dress styled with medals recalls the gilded and raw aesthetic of Julien Dossena’s Spring Summer 2019 collection. This capsule collection, however, emulates the metallic tones and warmth of the Paco Rabanne house.
Designed for both sprawling around a pool in a swimsuit and strolling through the early morning air in denim jeans, this collection simmers with the first glimpses of the summer heat.
