Glass visits Face Place at Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge
LONG live the department store! A recent visit to that most iconic of London destinations, Knightsbridge powerhouse Harvey Nichols, resulted in a superlative grooming experience on their fourth floor. It turns out that the retail haven offers a comprehensive range of beauty services in-store, including a blow-dry bar (Hershesons), a light therapy station (The Light Salon), cryotherapy chambers (111 Cryo), vitamin injections (Reviv) and even a piercing parlour (The Alkemistry).
In need of some serious skincare rejuvenation, Glass opted for a treatment at Face Place, an institution in its own right as Hollywood’s trusted skincare expert for nearly 50 years. Face Place’s Signature Facial was first introduced in tinseltown in 1972, combining ingredients such as zinc, collagen and vitamin C, with galvanic current and extractions.
At Harvey Nichols, you should opt for The Works – a facial that has all of the signature aspects but is heavily led by facial massage. The lovely therapist used a variety of lifting and draining techniques to eliminate excess fluids and improve circulation, resulting in a thorough work-out. A cell-boosting LED light mask is also added to the proceedings, during which time a tension-releasing neck and arm massage is delivered.
The Works offers one-hundred minutes of pure bliss – plus skin that looks noticeably healthy and glowing. It’s a luxurious treat, and one that you should be rewarding yourself with in this post-lockdown period. Face Place, which also operates a larger salon from the Rosewood in Holborn, is set to become a go-to for Londoners who are looking for the real deal.
