A-COLD-WALL* partner with RETROSUPERFUTURE on an eyewear collection
A-COLD-WALL* has launched the second brainchild of its partnership with contemporary eyewear brand RETROSUPERFUTURE. This season, the collaboration further explores the urban intricacies of the post-industrial era with two new eyewear models, seamlessly melding the technical manner of A-COLD-WALL* with the Italian refinement synonymous with RETROSUPERFUTURE.
The first set is crafted from two new editions of Caro, a pair of robust, generously-rimmed geometric sunglasses, with wide in-set lenses. Striking, yet unequivocally modern, the first model is shaped with swirling marble stone acetate with sulphuric yellow crystal lenses. The accompanying pair is a duskier interpretation, with heavy stone acetate rims framing inky-black lenses.
The second of the set is equally audacious in structure, reimagining the unmistakable RETROSUPERFUTURE sunglasses: The America. Slightly understated, slightly angular but wholly sophisticated, the America is characterised by its clean-cut and versatile frame design. For this collection, both brands drew from the grey tones residing in cool concrete corners, along with the dusty bronzes of modernist architecture.
The first version, America Greyscale 1, flits between the warm and cool spectrum, composing smoky grey lenses with dark, matte tawny arms. The subsequent colourway has an icy air, constructing mineral glass tempered lenses in deadly nightshade indigo, with delicate transparent crystal grey frames.
