MARKING the beginning of a new chapter, Dior has announced their return to England’s capital for their fall-winter 2022 show. With just under a month until the French fashion House unveils its new collection, the date December 9 has been set and the countdown now begins.
Though this swap in cities may seem unusual or even surprising, Monsieur Dior showed in England in 1947 in the presence of the Queen Mother and her daughter, Princess Margaret.
For the artistic director, Kim Jones this is a homecoming. “I can’t wait to do a show in my hometown”. With this being the city that the designer was born in and lives in, the inexhaustible inspiration that he finds in this place will be celebrated.
“We are delighted to be presenting our Fall men’s collection abroad once again, and to be reconnecting with the ‘physical’ runway, an experience that is more important than ever,” says Chairman and CEO of Dior Couture, Pietro Beccari. “We are proud and excited to be bringing this unique event to life in London, a particularly symbolic destination dear to Monsieur Dior and the House.”
