LAST June, Dior held their Cruise 2022 presentation in the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece, unveiling a new collection along with an exciting new bag line. The accessories simultaneously celebrated Dior’s luxury heritage while taking notes from the popular sportswear trend.
Classic Dior silhouettes are reimagined as sportswear hybrids. House motifs such as creative director’s Maria Grazia Chiuri’s lucky charm star symbol and the Christian Dior signature pattern adorn the collection’s accessories, including the beloved bowling bag. Perforated leather and Dior Athlet prints decorate the season’s must-have bags.

The bags, which are available in black and white, were designed with style and functionality in mind, featuring details like an external zip pocket. Hobo styles mix and match with their two-strap design detail.
Gold-finished metal buckles punctuated with the initials CD and the Christian Dior logo are the final touches on the collection that manages to encapsulate the fashion house’s modernity and history perfectly.

Modelled by Chinese fencer, two-time Olympian Sun Yiwen, her strength and gold-medal capabilities have continually shone on the world stage, and now the athlete finds herself once again at the forefront, but this time in fashion, as she leads the way in Dior’s latest instalment.
