DIOR has unveiled the long-awaited new season of the reoccurring Beachwear Capsule line, reinvented by the House Artistic Director of Dior Men, Kim Jones.
For this season’s edition of the Beachwear Capsule Collection Dior collaborated with Parley for the Oceans, an environmental organization which fights against major ocean threats.

Together, the environmental organisation and the fashion house have created a collection that presents Dior’s motivation to become more sustainable and eco-innovative and set an example or a eco-friendly future for fashion.

The project was inspired by the brand’s ties to nature born out of Christian Dior’s love for not only the flora world but also the aquatic one. Sharing this desire to preserve the sea and its inhabitants with the brand’s founder as well as Parley for the Oceans, Kim Jones has made sure to use responsible and upcycled materials.
The eco-innovative clothes have been designed from yarns and fabrics, provided by Parley Ocean Plastic, which is created from upcycled marine plastic debris and fishing gear.

The material created by Parley was then turned into high-quality polyester, jacquard, mesh knit and a technical canvas. The designs in blues and ochres are adorned with the memorable Dior Oblique, the Adriatic graphic motif from Dior’s archives, and stunning bayadères.

The 2022 Beachwear Capsule collection presents casual and summery looks that still offer functionality and elegance. The wardrobe is designed to be a combination of essential, adventure-ready, mix-and-match pieces, featuring a thick shirt, an elegant polo shirt, poplin pants as well as sweater and jackets. Finally the collection’s look is completed with Dior’s B23 sneakers that integrate Adriatic heather fabric and biobased plastic soles.
