SITUATED at Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch, the new retail establishment will not only excite with Gabriella Hearts’ vast selection of designs but also welcome the visitors to appreciate the beautiful interior adorned with a collection of fine furniture envisioned by Benji Gavron and Antoine Dumas.

Titled Nomad, the furnishing displays 21 expertly handcrafted pieces of wood and leather furniture, featuring Zelkova, a traditional Korean timber, and high-quality European leather. “Gabi gave us complete creative freedom within the parameters of making what Gabriela Hearst stands for, crafted locally, with local timbers that have fallen naturally or are up-cycled from prior functions”, stated Dumas and Gavron.

To highlight exceptional work by Korean artistants, Dumas and Gavron have also collaborated with three Korean woodworking studios. Fusing their creative processes and imagination into one, they worked together on the technical drawings, joinery, and engineering of the collection, making this collaboration truly unique to each of the other Nomad locations. “I am very lucky that I work with some of the best creatives in the world, I can say it seldom happens when somebody understands you intrinsically and your aesthetic”, shared Hearst.

Regarding Hearst herself, the new residency will showcase womenswear lines, including ready-to-wear, knitwear made from fine merino wool and cashmere, and footwear. In terms of accessories, the store will offer a few exclusive finds, such as the Nina, the Demi, the Diana, the Baez, and the Nostalgia handbag releases.
