Burberry returns to the British isles in AW23 campaign

Last updated:

ON A mission to bring Burberry back to its British roots, creative director Daniel Lee has chosen to shoot his debut collection for the brand in the British isles. Picking the Isle of Skye off the west coast of Scotland and the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland as the backdrop, the series of photographs, shot by Tyrone Lebon, encapsulate the rugged landscape of the country.

The portraits, shot across the two differing landscapes, balance the the vast depth of Skye with the ancient volcanic landmarks on the Causeway taking every opportunity to put Britain’s beauty on a pedestal.

The collection itself is enriched with elements of protection – ideal for the surrounding environment of the shoot – with trench coats an integral piece, welly boots a must and argyle jumpers a necessity.

Of course, the Burberry check is in full throttle, finding itself adorned across full purple looks while the Equestrian Knight Design logo is redrawn in the House’s new colour, aptly titled Knight Blue.

The AW23 campaign is beautiful extension of Lee’s journey of Burberry’s homecoming.
