Dior announces a new exhibition celebrating the Lady Dior handbag
KICKSTARTING Seoul’s Frieze activities, Dior announces their Lady Dior Celebration exhibition. Having first been spotted on the arm of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, the Lady Dior has been met with unstoppable success. Forming a cardinal part of Dior’s DNA, the famed cannage-patterned bag continues to be reinvented through artistic projects such as Lady Dior As Seen By and the Dior Lady Art projects.
Now, the Maison has announced the Lady Dior Celebration Exhibition in order to exhibit forty-two never-before-seen interpretations of the bag by a range of multidisciplinary artists. The event will illustrate the timeless, audacious elegance of the Lady Dior in a contemporary, interactive setting.
The exhibition will take place in the Maison’s Seongsu-dong concept store and will highlight the work of twenty-four reputable Korean artists including Bahk Seon Ghi, Choi Jeong Hwa, Gigisue, Gimhongsok and more.
