Alexander McQueen unveils first look at Séan McGirr’s vision

Last updated:

THE HIGHLY anticipated first look of Séan McGirr’s Alexander McQueen is here.

Previewing the first taste of what is to come after Sarah Burton’s departure, the creative director has taken the past into his future with a campaign featuring two life-long friends of the House, Debra Shaw and Frankie Rayder.

Set in a forest of ancient pines, the motif of nature still remains firm for McGirr. Imbuing a Celtic vibe, Debra and Frankie are captured wearing chrome toy masks shaped like skulls – a famed symbol originally brought to life by the founder Lee McQueen.

Captured by Tommy Malekoff and art directed by Edward Quarmby, the campaign also debuts the original McQueen logo redrawn to affirm the new chapter of Alexander McQueen.
